DECISION ‘07
forget the presidential race, politics in general. sartorial decisions weigh heavier at the moment.
rachel and i both have cousins getting married next weekend. for the blessed events we went to the outlet mall in gaffney (peach butt!) and bought ourselves some fancy dresses. the prices were too good, and the styles too chic to resist buying two each. however now we are at a loss as to which one to wear to the wedding, and which one will be left for extra hot bartending action.
so now people out there who read our blogs.
please cast your vote on which dress we should wear.
rachel first…
her wedding is on saturday, taking place in the afternoon, set at one of north carolina’s premiere country clubs….
Dress A (aka pleats please!)
versus
Dress B (aka liquid magic)
(boner, big ups on the blue steal look! so hot right now…)
what do you think? which one? VOTE NOW!
my cousin Bora and the very wonderful Sylvie are getting married on Sunday at 4 pm, but cocktails, a buffet and ultimate family danceparty (i am assuming) to follow. Everything shakes down way downtown in manhatten near battery park. (hello NYC!)
Dress A (aka grease lightning) ![]()
opposing
Dress B (aka sparkle city)
so one is more fun, but it’s also a few seasons old… as much as i hate to admit it, the mu-mu is on it’s way out, and so maybe i shouldn’t go around in a shiny brown low cut one… something about beating a dead horse or something…
the other seems a little reserved for my usual wedding get up, however it is a sweet dress, and of course gilded…
so seriously we have one week to figure this shit out.
please do your civic duty and vote!

I would say A for Harkai Zone and B for yourself. From the picture, Rachel’s tits look better in A and your B is more bougie country-club-wedding appropriate.

My picks: A for Rachel and depending on the mood for Derya. If it is the glitter chick go for A, if it’s “hanim hanimcik: go or B…..
Baba’s pick: A for Rachel, B for Derya…

Ok I vote for Pleats Please for Rachel and
Sparkle City for Derya.
New Music:
Get in to shoegaze much?
Find everything Ian Masters ever did, Pale Saints, Spoonfed Hybrid, etc.
Have Funs!!!

A for Rachel
B for Derya

hello my little turkish delight; my sugar coma in the corner triangular piece of home made baklava…I check your blog from time to time and wanted to say two things: you look gorgeous! so happy to know that you’re doing well… and Rachel (A) - the pleats lend for saturday night fever-esque dance floor glory and You (B) - sparkle + cleavage = one hot piece of ass.
i know you’re probably going to be busy as hell that weekend, but if you have a minute, even if it’s waiting on the platform of the subway, would love to see you in your brief stint in nyc. no worries though…

I too am going for Pleats Please and Sparkle City. I think the others would indeed make some super-dope bar-tending get-ups — at a wedding ‘y’all’ might steal away attention from the brides! Later.

Tough one ladies. Who knew the Yellow Mall had so much to offer? Rachel should attend the ceremony in Pleats Please and change into Liquid Magic just before the cake is cut. Derya should start out in Sparkle City and then magically appear in Grease Lightening just in time to catch the bouquet and steal the groom (oh wait…is he a cousin?)

So THIS is what happens when HUB-BUB hosts three girls and one guy!?! If only we’d had a dress pole…
I have to agree with the votes for Rachel’s option A and Derya’s B. (You look amazing in all four, by the way.)
Secretly, I want to choose from the options on Rachel’s smokin’ hot blackboard, though: residencies, jobs, abroad, or MFA? I’ll take ABROAD for $1,000.

oh gosh, I meant “dress poll.” I really don’t want to imagine what a “dress pole” is…

no, let’s get a dress pole, that sounds fun.

two off-line anonymous votes:
person A: a for rachel, b for derya
person B: a for rachel, b for derya
this is shaping up to be a landslide victory for pleats please and sparkle city….
but the polls are not yet closed, four more days!

pleats please and sparkle city…but don’t take the others back, grease lightning and liquid magic are an event of their own!

and
sparkle city
derya, you know you’re locked into sparkle city now that you went and painted your toenails GOLD this afternoon.
